The story of Bong Tribe

Wear your roots.

Two Bongs. One obsession. Zero interest in fitting in.

Who are we?

Two Bongs. One tribe.

Bong Tribe started with two Bengalis who happen to share three things:

A deep love for where we come from. An almost unreasonable obsession with football. And a lifelong inability to take every social rule too seriously.

We're a Bengali couple who love our culture, our language, our food, our adda, our festivals and, of course, our football.

But we also believe being Bengali doesn't have to mean looking backwards. It can be loud. It can be funny. It can be rebellious. It can be stylish. It can be completely our own.

That's where Bong Tribe began.

Why Bong Tribe?

We wanted to wear our roots.

We looked around and realised something was missing. Plenty of clothing inspired by global streetwear. Plenty inspired by mainstream Indian culture. But nothing that felt like us.

Something that could carry a Bengali phrase into a college corridor. Something that could represent football culture on matchday. Something you could wear to Puja. Something that could make another Bengali stranger smile when they saw you on the street.

So we decided to make it ourselves. Bong Tribe is our little attempt to turn the things we love about being Bengali into things you can actually wear.

The three things that built us

Everyday Bengali street life in Kolkata

01

Bengali Culture

সংস্কৃতি

Because where we come from is part of who we are.

Kolkata mornings, adda that never ends, the language, the food, the nostalgia, the everyday noise. All of it walks around with us, so it may as well be printed on something.

Football

ফুটবল

Because in Bengal, football isn't just a game.

Matchday on the Maidan. Arguments at the tea stall. Loyalties inherited like surnames. We make the shirts for that feeling — original artwork only, no borrowed crests.

বাউন্ডুলে

The Outlaws

Because following every rule was never really our thing.

বাউন্ডুলে is the spirit of being free-spirited, unconventional and unapologetically yourself. Not reckless, not lawless — just refusing to let society decide how you live, dress, think or express yourself.

We don't want to tell you who to be. We just want to give you something to wear while you figure it out.

Bong Tribe isn't about fitting everyone into the same mould. It's about celebrating the things that make us different.

  • The Bengali who can't live without football.
  • The college kid who'd rather be at an adda than in class.
  • The couple who dress alike just because they can.
  • The Puja lover.
  • The Kolkata nostalgist.
  • The Bengali meme addict.
  • The person who simply wants to wear something that feels like home.
  • There is room for all of them here.

Our products

Made for the tribe.

We create graphic apparel inspired by Bengali culture, football, festivals, humour, relationships and everyday life.

Our products are made on demand — we produce them when you order, rather than filling warehouses with stock. That lets us keep experimenting with new designs while keeping inventory sensible.

The couple behind Bong Tribe

The two Bongs behind the tribe.

We're not a giant fashion company. We're two people who had an idea and decided to see where it could go.

We argue about designs. We obsess over football. We have strong opinions about Bengali culture. We probably spend far too much time discussing fonts, colours and T-shirt graphics.

And somewhere between all of that, Bong Tribe happened.

This store is our creative playground, our love letter to Bengal and our excuse to put some of our favourite ideas onto T-shirts.

This isn't just our tribe. It's yours too.

Whether you're here for the football, the culture, the chaos, the nostalgia, the Puja vibes, the Bengali humour or simply because a T-shirt made you stop scrolling… welcome.

Wear what you believe in. Wear where you come from. Wear it your way.

Wear your roots.
